Dr. Ximena Velasquez-Pierce
Dr. Ximena Velasquez-Pierce was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. In 1993, she received her dental degree, graduating with honors from El Bosque University. After receiving her dental degree, Dr. Ximena Velasquez-Pierce practiced general dentistry in Bogotá until 2001, when she decided to return to school and receive her degree in orthodontics. In 2006, Dr. Velasquez-Pierce also received her Master’s degree in Public Health.
In 2009, Dr. Velasquez-Pierce moved to the United States, where she was accepted to the University of Rochester Eastman Dental Clinic and completed her 2-year residency program. During her residency, Dr. Velasquez-Pierce was one of four dentists recognized in her program as having exceptional clinical abilities. Also during her residency, Dr. Velasquez-Pierce co-authored a research article that was published in a New York dental journal. In 2015, she moved to Florida, where she received her license to practice dentistry. In November 2016, Dr. Velasquez-Pierce bought her own practice and continues to help her patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles.
Continuing education and staying up-to-date in the latest dental techniques is one of Dr. Velasquez-Pierce’s highest priorities. By knowing and using the latest dental treatments and technology, she can ensure that her patients receive the best care possible. She constantly is attending continuing educations courses. In addition, Dr. Velasquez-Pierce is an active member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Hispanic Dental Association, and the Southwest Dental Association.
Dr. Velasquez-Pierce and her husband, Charles, have been married since 2008. In her free time, Dr. Velasquez-Pierce enjoys golfing, traveling, and going to the beach.
